L/H/B*C
May 2014 - May 2015
L/H/B*C is a cooperation between Aalto University - School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Helsinki, the Institut für Alles Mögliche zu Berlin and the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig.
Through a month long residency in Berlin students from the Art department of Aalto University have the opportunity to connect with the city, its artspaces, its discourses and its contemporary culture in general.
Based at the Büro für Bestimmte Dinge - the Institut's Neukölln studio space - participants are invited to work independently, present a project in an open studio event, participate in various networking events throughout the month and give a public talk at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig.
This project is based on the idea to share experiences, meet peers from another University and to broaden the curatorial, artistic and cultural networks between Berlin, Leipzig and Helsinki.

NÆS is a collective-connective artistic-research agency and a cultural production studio focusing on emergent and resilient dynamics of social organization. It functions as a platform for activating alternative forms of knowledge production and critical thinking. Through a series of public exercises the project aims to activate self-critical dialogues, questing for imagining alternative and emergent forms of mediating the commons driven across notions of nomadism, decoloniality, radical-ecology, and radical-pedagogy.
Dduring the residency I will be working on my current research project: chambers of commons, which is focused on rooting alliances between sites of production and situated knowledges. the first part will take the form of an intensive residency forum from which to conceptualise and experiment with new relations, strategies and narratives that can help us envisage self-organised initiatives as sites that help propitiate the (re)emergency of the commons.
